17. AS AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT, CAN I RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE QUEBEC GOVERNMENT AND THE CEGEP DU VIEUX-MONTRÉAL?
No, this financial assistance is only for permanent residents of Quebec. However, the program offered at the EDCM is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. International students may therefore apply for financial aid / scholarships in their home countries.
16. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY QUEBEC ACCEPTANCE CERTIFICATE (CAQ) / STUDY PERMIT. WHAT IS THE NORMAL WAIT TIME?
When a file is complete, including supporting documents, the wait time is at least six weeks. You can consult your file online for better tracking. The EDCM cannot intervene in this file.
15. IF I AM OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY AND DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A PRINTER WITHIN THE REQUIRED TIME, HOW DO I SEND YOU THE SIGNED FORMS?

14. WHAT ARE THE TUITION FEES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (EXCEPT FRENCH CITIZENS) WHO WOULD LIKE TO INTEGRATE THE DCS PROGRAM (AND NOT THE ACS), WHICH INCLUDES GENERAL EDUCATION AT CEGEP DU VIEUX-MONTRÉAL AND SPECIFIC DANCE TRAINING AT EDCM?
In 2019-2020, the cost of DCS training for an international student (excluding French citizens) is $8,001 per term. The training has a total of 6 terms. For those who are not eligible for the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ), it is also necessary to add the $780 annual cost for group insurance.
13. I AM FROM QUEBEC AND WOULD LIKE TO ENROLL IN THE ACS PROGRAM (NRC.05). ARE THERE TUITION FEES FOR THIS PROGRAM?
Yes, this ACS is not subsidized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, so ALL applicants enrolled in this program must pay tuition fees.
12. WHAT DO THE CVM AND EDCM NUMBERS ON THE REGISTRATION FORM REFER TO?
The CVM number is the SRAM file number (No. DA) and the EDCM number will be given to students at the beginning of the school year.
11. I AM AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT. THE SRAM LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE MENTIONS PAYING AN ANNUAL GROUP INSURANCE IN ADDITION TO THE REGISTRATION FEES. IS THIS COMPULSORY?
If you are a French citizen, due to an agreement between France and Quebec, you will not have to pay annual group insurance fees. If you have another nationality, you must first check whether there is an agreement between your country and the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ); a form must be completed. Otherwise, fees are applicable.
10. WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR TRANSFERRING MY REGISTRATION IN A PROGRAM FROM ANOTHER CEGEP THAT I HAD CHOSEN IN CASE I AM NOT ACCEPTED AT EDCM?
