Alexandra Caron
Recreational classesAlexandra Caron is a movement artist, performer and dance teacher. She is a graduate of the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal and of the DEC en danse program at Collège Montmorency. Her first solo Abyssale solitude is presented at Tangente (2021) and at Festival Vue sur la relève (2022). Since 2018, her artistic path has led her to join the Margie Gillis Dance Foundation’s Heritage Project. She also collaborates on projects with multidisciplinary artist Tanya Dolbec, pianist Zach Éli and Ample Man danse’s cultural mediation workshops. Since 2022, she and musician Emmanuelle Lizère have co-created shows for toddlers, which have been presented at the Quartiers Danses and Petits Bonheurs festivals. Alexandra teaches dance for all ages, including adult contemporary dance, parent-child dance and parent-baby dance. She is convinced that movement is an inexhaustible source of possibilities, and that to try this practice, regardless of age, is to discover oneself in a new way and to honor one’s sensations.
