Iohann Laliberté
Musician - Percussionnist
Experienced drummer and percussionnist, Iohann Laliberté represented the province of Quebec at the prestigious Montreal Drumfest 1998 as a Yamaha rising star. He completed a BACC with a mention of excellence at the University of Montreal in Jazz drumming interpretation. Having worked seven years with Cirque du Soleil as an accompanist at the artist formation program and also as a musician for two years in New York City and Chicago, Iohann Laliberté collaborated to the training of dancers from around the world for the shows Zaïa, Viva Elvis, Alegria Arena, Banana Shpeel, Michael Jackson The Immortal tour, Ovo, Chris Angel Believe, Totem and Iris. Iohann has been playing drums for dance classes since 2001. He notably worked for the National Circus School, l'École Supérieure de Ballet Contemporain du Québec, the O'Vertigo troupe, the Regroupement Québécois de la Danse (RQD) and at UQAM. He also played for Regional Dance America for university dance programs auditions across the United States of America. As a musician and composer, Iohann took part in an innumerable amount of projects and formations with varied artists and toured across Canada, the United States and Europe. |
