In order to comply with the requirements of the Quebec Government’s Bill 151, the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal has implemented a policy to fight sexual violence. The purpose of this law is to prevent and fight sexual violence in higher education institutions.
The EDCM recognizes the paramount importance of ensuring a healthy and safe living, working and educational environment for all members of its community. Adopted by its Board of Directors on December 18, 2018, this policy reflects a commitment to better respond to the need to prevent and fight sexual violence and highlights the process and support services provided to the EDCM community.
The actions taken by the School’s administration and the intervention and prevention committee aim to:
– Maintain an environment in which all members of its college community feel safe and free from sexual violence, which is in no way tolerated;
– Strongly support anyone who avails themselves of the Policy to ensure that they receive adequate and fair treatment;
– Offer prevention, awareness and mandatory training activities for members of the student community and all of its staff.
