This project, which is now in its 5th year, gives six recent graduates of the School an opportunity to participate in a paid creative residence led by a professional choreographer. This year, the School has given choreographer/dancer Jason Martin the job of leading the dancers in this beautiful artistic adventure.
Jason Martin works with Le Carré des Lombes, Daniel Léveillé Danse, Compagnie Marie Chouinard, Virginia Brunelle and many other companies and choreographers. He choreographed Raw during Danses Buissonnières (2014-2015 season of Tangente).
“From the outset, I’m interested in feeling the body acting as the source and aim. I consider the body to be a significant representation of the mind, emotion… So, by enhancing one’s physical potential, one’s personality is ultimately enhanced,” explained Jason.
The six-week lab, a true springboard to the professional environment, will take place during the summer of 2015 and will conclude with public performances (limited seating).
