Julianne Decerf

Originally from Paris suburbs (France), Julianne started dancing at the age of 3 at the Conservatoire municipal de Villemomble (93) where she thrived for 7 years. Always looking for more hours of dancing, she decided to pursue studying dance at Conservatoire municipal de Bobigny (93) and at Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Saint-Maur-Des-Fossés (94) where she benefits of an arranged schedule with her studies, contemporary and ballet dance during 7 years. She completed her DEC in contemporary dance in 2016. Attracted by contemporary art values and openness, she decided to intensify her training at École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (QC). There she had the opportunity to work with several renowned choreographers including La Tresse collective, Clara Furey, Manuel Roque, Sophie Corriveau, Dany Desjardin and Marc Boivin. In parallel to her studies, she cultivates a strong interest for choreography and graphics arts that also fed her work as a performer. She produced her piece Mémé est à Montréal at Bouge d’ici Festival, Espace commun / Common space in January 2020.Thus, giving much importance to working with committed and human choreographers, she plans to get involved in diversified universes both in Montreal and internationally in order to reinforce or provoke new artistic encounters.
