Rosalie Lamoureux
Based in Tiohtià:ke/ Montréal (Québec, Canada), Rosalie Lamoureux was introduced to dance at an early age through ballet. She continued her training at Montreal’s École de Ballet Ouest, then in the dance program at Collège Sainte-Anne de Lachine, where she developed solid skills, particularly in contemporary dance, ballet and jazz. It also enabled her to take part in productions of The Nutcracker by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and Ballet Ouest de Montréal. After graduating from high school, she began her training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. During her studies, she had the chance to work with choreographers Pierre-Marc Ouellette, Darryl Tracy, Igor Calonge, Charles Brecard, Parts+Labour_Danse and Jean-Benoît Labrecque, as well as the repertoires of Stephanie Lake, Margie Gillis, Dorotea Saykaly and Ohad Naharin.
Throughout her studies, she stands out for her total commitment to her classes, her daily dedication and her sense of leadership within her cohort. She has also been sharing her passion for dance through teaching since 2017. Guided by her curiosity, her great willingness to learn and her fascination for the body in movement, Rosalie is in search of a physical and expressive body as well as authenticity of interpretation. She wishes to continue discovering and refining her artistic uniqueness.
