Sphynx Church
Sphynx Church (She/They) is a Toronto/Montreal-based non-binary Filipino Multidisciplinary artist. Their background as a dancer started in various forms of street dance, specializing in popping since the age of 13. They love improvising, especially in street dance and contact improv. She also has training and theatre and writes poetry, which is often incorporated into her art. She’s very interested in the politics that inform the art we see and the democratization of dance, to make dance accessible to everyone.
