Alikisia Ikauno

Originally from Quebec, Alikisia Ikauno is a contemporary dance performer based in Montreal. She completed a DEC in Dance and Performance at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM) at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal (2023-2026). Her dance career began in 2009 at the Académie de Danse de l’Outaouais in Gatineau, where she explored classical, modern, flamenco, traditional Indian dance, and trapeze—a diversity that continues to nourish her physicality and imagination today.
On stage, Alikisia immerses herself in contrasting choreographic worlds. At the EDCM, her career was particularly influenced by the works of Mélanie Demers, Virginie Brunelle, Cai Glover, Margie Gillis, and Manuel Roque. At the same time, she co-created the collaborative piece Uni•vers (2023) and created her first choreography, Les cheveux en désordre (2025), which was performed by a fellow student.
A performer with a strong stage presence, she captivates audiences with her instinctive and fully embodied presence. A French-English artist, Alikisia sees performance as a space for encounter, guided by listening, autonomy, and sincerity of movement.
