HIGH-CALIBRE FACILITIES

The School is located in the Édifice Wilder-Espace Danse, a venue dedicated to the fifth art in Montreal.
Equipped with facilities that meet international dance standards, it is also the home of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, as well as Tangente and Agora de la Danse.
Located in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, this unique space will inspire the dancers of tomorrow while offering them teaching and learning conditions that are comparable to international standards.
The result of a sustainable transformation of a heritage building, the Wilder Building Espace Danse has been awarded LEED-NC Silver certification by the Canada Green Building Council.

The Wilder Building is certified by Kéroul as being accessible to people with physical disabilities. The “accessible” rating certifies that the establishment meets all accessibility criteria related to the visitor experience and offers a satisfactory experience for everyone, including the majority of people with motor disabilities. In addition, the “accessible to deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals” rating indicates that adapted services are also available to this clientele.

RENTALS

Whether for rehearsals, photo shoots, film shoots, or corporate activities, the School makes its four studios available for rent.

The reservation must include preparation time before the start of the activity as well as the time needed to tidy up the studio afterwards. The tenant is therefore required to strictly adhere to the reserved schedule, both for arrival and departure.

Studio usage rules

1. The renter agrees to comply with applicable government health standards.
2. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the building in order to comply with anti-smoking laws.
3. It is prohibited to consume, serve, or sell alcoholic beverages without the written authorization of the EDCM. Any sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages authorized by the EDCM must be in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Eating or drinking anything other than water in the studios is prohibited.
5. The use of glass objects in the studios is prohibited (water may only be consumed from metal/aluminum/plastic bottles).
6. Moving, removing, or modifying the dance floor is prohibited.
7. It is forbidden to apply or use any substance that leaves marks on the mat (e.g., adhesive tape, makeup, paint, resin, etc.).
8. The use of other substances that do not leave marks must be approved in advance by the person responsible for studio rentals. It is imperative to clean/wipe/pick up everything that has been used on a daily basis before leaving the premises.
9. The use of shoes on the dance floor is strictly prohibited.
10. It is mandatory to read and follow the audio system usage procedure posted on the wall.
11. It is prohibited to disconnect and/or rearrange the wires of the audiovisual equipment.
12. The volume must not exceed 85dB under any circumstances.
13. The studio's musical instruments may not be used and must not be touched/moved.
14. Upon leaving the premises, the Tenant must ensure that the furniture is put back in its place, that the temperature is set to 21°C, that they have disconnected from the Bluetooth system, and that the lights and studio door are closed behind them.
15. The Tenant must report their arrival and notify the reception desk of their departure.
16. All teaching activities are prohibited.
17. No public performances are allowed.
18. The installations must be entirely self-supporting: no floor fixings are permitted.
19. Sets and plants must be removed at the end of the rental period.
20. Photography in common areas is strictly prohibited.
21. Subletting of the premises is not permitted.

Cancellation
In the event of termination of the contract by the Lessee, EDCM reserves the right to claim the amount due for the rental that was to take place, within 10 business days of termination. At any time, in the event of cancellation by the Lessee, a penalty of 25% of the total amount, up to a maximum of $200, will be retained.

- Four studios dedicated to the professional training of young dancers
- A training room with state-of-the-art equipment
- A media centre open to the dance communit
- Suitable facilities for providing health care services
- An environment that is conducive to work and studies, open to the community.
