Julie Dupin

Originally from France, Julie Dupin began her career in the Landes region before joining the Conservatoire de Bordeaux Jacques Thibaud. She obtained her diploma in choreography in 2022, then continued her training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, graduating in 2026.
During her time at the EDCM, she performed works by Margie Gillis, Virginie Brunelle, Manuel Roque, Mélanie Demers, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and other major choreographers on the contemporary scene.
Driven by a deep fascination with human beings, their experiences, and emotions, Julie is rooted in a multidisciplinary practice guided by encounters. Combining technique, physicality, and improvisation, she draws on everyday life and nature to nourish a sensitive and embodied artistic approach that is constantly evolving.
She also enriches her work as a performer through visual arts, photography, sound creation, and writing, seeking possible extensions of movement beyond the stage.
A keen observer, she serves on the artistic advisory board for various projects. At the same time, she cultivates a keen interest in cultural mediation, arts management, and accessibility issues, which she considers essential to the vitality of the cultural community.
