EDCM STUDENTS IN BOLERO X BY BALLET BC
Some 50 dancers, including the graduating class from l’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, will perform on the biggest stages in Montreal and Ottawa for Ballet BC’s presentation of BOLERO X. BOLERO X is a new interpretation of Ravel’s famous Bolero, in which the well-known theme unfolds in a long, uninterrupted and spellbinding crescendo. This sensual, electrifying work showcases the virtuosity of Ballet BC’s performers, accompanied by young dancers from four professional training institutions across Canada, in a spectacular celebration of dance and collective strength. Presented by Danse Danse and the National Arts Centre as part of a triple program featuring Ballet BC, Shahar Binyamini’s BOLERO X is produced in collaboration with young dancers from l’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, l’École supérieure de ballet du Québec, The School of Dance (Ottawa) and Arts Umbrella Dance (Vancouver).
