Alex Turcotte

A native of Montreal’s South Shore (Quebec, Canada), Alex Turcotte first plunged into the world of music when he joined his high school’s special program. It was in this program that he got his first taste of the stage, accompanied by his bass clarinet and wind band ensemble. During these five years, he had the chance to play in New York, win several prizes as a soloist and develop his artistic sense. After high school, Alex decided to pursue his dream of becoming a professional dancer. After completing a dance diploma at Cégep de Drummondville, he moved to Montréal/Tiohtià:ke in 2021 to continue his training as a performer at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. Parallel to his contemporary dance training, Alex will be training in Waacking with Axelle Munezero and her company Asymmetry Creations in 2021, before continuing his personal practice in the Montreal community.
