dancer, CHOReoGRAPHEr & MUSICian

GRADUATED IN 2003

Clara Furey is a choreographer-performer based in Montreal. Approaching art as a way to bring people together, Furey seeks, through pieces that inhabit the boundary between choreographic movement and performance art, to create connections between media, people and the senses. In 2017, Furey choreographed her first group work, Cosmic Love, and performed her solo When Even The for 90 days as part of A Crack in Everything, an exhibition in homage to Leonard Cohen at the MAC. Her latest work, Rather a Ditch, a solo performed by Céline Bonnier, saw its world premiere at the Festival TransAmériques in spring 2019. Clara Furey is an associate artist at the dance company Par B.L.eux.
