Julianna Bryson

As a child, Julianna Bryson attended the Alberta Ballet School, where they were introduced to classical ballet. At the same time, Julianna successfully completed the International Baccalaureate program in dance at the Victoria School of the Arts in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada). With a view to continuing their training, they then opted for the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (Québec, Canada), graduating in 2024. Imagining dance as an eclipse where movement aligns with space and the senses, Julianna’s artistic practice is rooted in the celebration of the multiple body. They are drawn to the challenge of rigorous work and the pleasure it offers. During their time at EDCM, Julianna Bryson was the recipient of the Linda Rabin Excellence Award in 2022 and the Hnatyshyn Foundation Scholarship in 2023, both recognizing their dedication and potential in contemporary dance.
