Mélhya Kilic-Pégourié

Melhya Kilic, originally from Paris, is a passionate dance artist whose language draws on a wide range of styles. Her world oscillates between a ballet-inspired approach, in which she explores lines, precision, and the virtuosity of the body, and urban influences marked by rhythm, grounding, and physical states.
In 2023, she continued her studies at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM), where she deepened her stage presence and refined her understanding of the body in motion.
During her training, Melhya performed in creations by Alan Lake and Paco Ziel, and danced works from the repertoires of Virginie Brunelle, Victor Quijada, and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. These experiences strengthened her versatility and nourished her artistic imagination.
Alongside her work as a performer, she became interested in the dialogue between movement and video, with a desire to expand the forms of physical storytelling.
