Nathan Buldakova

Guided by a natural curiosity for movement, Nathan is a contemporary dance artist based in Montreal. Always on the move from a young age, he was introduced to dance through traditional folkloric dance. After graduating with a degree in dance from Cégep de Sherbrooke in 2022, he decided to pursue professional studies at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. During his training, he honed his skills, developing strong technical versatility and deep artistic sensitivity. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to perform works by Andonis Foniadakis, Alan Lake, Marie Chouinard, Victor Quijada, and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. He discovered a strong interest in partner work and the embodiment of diverse conceptual universes. Intense physical effort, deep mastery of the body, and pushing beyond one’s limits are a source of vitality that nourish his presence. For Nathan, where there is joy and abandonment, there is dance.
