Stephania Koujelev

A contemporary dance artist based in Montreal, Stephania Koujelev’s career has been marked by her exploration of physicality and the revelation of her inner world. She began her journey at Ballet Divertimento, where she was introduced to classical ballet, before turning to the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, from which she graduated in 2026. She also enriched her approach to movement through national and international internships. The use of weight and risk-taking became her playground. During her training, Stephania had the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers such as Virginie Brunelle, Mélanie Demers, and Marie Chouinard. Striving for a raw expression of her feelings, she flourishes when dancing the vulnerable, the powerful, letting the fire within her burst forth.
