Michelle Lucero Moris is a contemporary dance artist based in Montreal. She creates and dances primarily for the profound pleasure that movement brings her. Curious about all forms of physical expression, she enjoys playing with styles, textures, and rhythms, constantly exploring new languages of the body.
Trained at the University of Chile and then at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, Michelle has developed a practice nourished by body memory, the poetry of movement, and improvisation. She has performed works by choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Dana Gingras, Sylvain Émard, Shahar Binyamini, and Sofia Nappi, while pursuing her own personal and interdisciplinary artistic research.
In 2025, she received the Sophia Borella grant to develop LA PIEL RECUERDA, a performative duet in dialogue with her sister, visual artist Valentina Lucero. The project weaves together dance, live painting, and community residencies with immigrant women in Montreal.
Driven by a desire to create connections, Michelle conceives of dance as a living, porous language capable of touching, bringing people together, and transforming. She also teaches dance to the general public.
