Discover an original creation by choreographer Jacques Poulin-Denis, composer Olivier Girouard, and the creative studio Ottoblix on the facade of the Édifice Wilder – Espace danse.
Chosen by a jury from an impressive group of submissions – 55 artists responded to the call for proposals – for its poetic qualities, refined aesthetic, and diverse representations of the body and dance, Anaphore is inspired by the rhetorical device of “anaphora”. This later produces symmetry through the repetition of a word, string of words or series of statements. The collective’s visual choreographies apply the theme of repetition to the characteristic movements of different types of dance.
