Ambre Dupuis
Originally from Lorient in Brittany (France), Ambre Dupuis completed her professional training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal in May 2024. It was at her regional conservatory that she established a solid classical dance foundation. A little later, she discovered jazz and then contemporary dance, before plunging with vulnerability and perseverance into this direction. She then moved to Paris to attend the Choreia professional school for two years. She studied with Julie Sicard, Corinne Barbara and Martine Curtat-Cadet, among others. Here she discovered a serious, multidisciplinary approach to teaching. With a thirst for adventure and new knowledge, Ambre flew to Montreal (Quebec, Canada). Between 2021 and 2024, she trained as a performer alongside James Viveiros, Linda Rabin, Isabelle Poirier, Marc Boivin and Alexandre Morin.
She participates in various original creation processes by Montreal and international choreographers (Pierre-Marc Ouellette, Igor Calonge, Darryl Tracy, Charles Brecard, Parts+Labour_Danse) and in the reconstitution of repertory works (Ohad Naharin, Marie Chouinard, Dorotea Saykaly, Stephanie Lake, Jessica Serli, Emmanuel Jouthe). Through painting and dance, Ambre seeks to develop a sensory imagination that attempts to deconstruct the limits of the possible. Her artistic approach is made up of a human generosity that is transmitted through a committed and expressive body. Ambre is an artist sensitive to others, and is constantly on the lookout for different textures to explore. Finally, she wishes to pursue her career as a performer, continuing to deepen her devotion to movement and its essence.
