Gabrielle Bouchard
A native of Montreal (Quebec, Canada), Gabrielle Bouchard began dancing at a very young age in a studio that led her to perform on several competition stages and conventions in Canada and the United States. In addition to showcasing her physical and artistic skills, this career path, accompanied by rigorous training, enabled her to develop the ability to manage pressure and the unexpected in the studio and on stage. Gabrielle then turned to advanced training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. Through her studies, she had the chance to perform in works by Ohad Naharin, Dorotea Saykaly, Jean-Benoît Labrecque, Parts+Labour_Danse, Charles Brecard, Stephanie Lake, Sylvain Émard, Igor Calonge, Darryl Tracy and Pierre-Marc Ouellette.
Parallel to her training, Gabrielle was a soloist on the Quebec TV show Révolution for seasons 4 and 5. In several intensive summer programs, such as Transformation (Danse à la Carte), Domaine Forget de Charlevoix and BJM_360, Gabrielle was able to enhance her creativity and technique. Her curiosity leads her to take an interest in the refined workings of a sensory body and the nuances of movement. She enjoys taking part in creation, enabling her to rediscover herself in different choreographic styles and find new ways of moving. As a performer, Gabrielle wishes to explore her technicality and sensitivity through movement.
