Jane Millette

Jane Millette is a dance performer, a graduate of the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM) and the Cégep de Saint-Laurent dance program (2022). She pursues her quest for authenticity and sensitivity in movement, while cultivating great artistic versatility. Her curiosity has led her to explore various styles, including ballet, hip-hop, popping and krump.
At the 43rd edition of the Cégeps en spectacles competition, Jane won the Festival Trans Amérique prize and the École de danse de Québec prize. In 2024, she was the recipient of a Hnatshyn Foundation bursary, following her nomination as one of Canada’s most promising emerging performers.
During her time at EDCM, she had the opportunity to perform works by Ohad Naharin, Sophia Nappi, Dana Gingras, Manuel Roque and other renowned choreographers.
Currently active in the Montreal dance scene, Jane is both a teacher and co-organizer of multidisciplinary improvisation events. She is committed to bringing together the community of emerging artists and promoting values of caring, vulnerability, inclusion and collective listening.
