Rosalie Boivin
Originally from Saguenay (Quebec, Canada), Rosalie Boivin began dancing at the age of four. Until her late teens, she concentrated on perfecting her classical technique. At the same time, she dabbled in other styles that influenced her way of moving, such as jazz and urban dance. At the end of high school, she discovered her love of contemporary dance and headed for professional training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. These three years were marked by the development of her uniqueness and authenticity through memorable encounters. During her training, she took part in several creative processes. She also participated in the reconstitution of repertoires by choreographers Ohad Naharin, Dorotea Saykaly, Stephanie Lake and Sylvain Émard. She has also developed an interest in choreography and cinematography, creating videodances as part of the Incubateur projects at EDCM. A recent graduate, Rosalie is an inquisitive artist who wishes to continue perfecting her versatility and her desire to create and collaborate.
