On April 13th, 2019, the Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Minister of National Revenue and Member of Parliament (Gaspésie-Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine) announced today that the government is investing close to $4 million in five schools in Montréal for their respective Training in Arts projects, including École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. Minister Lebouthillier made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism.

With the funding announced today, the Government of Canada is taking concrete steps to support organizations that enrich their community’s cultural life.

This amount of $ 510,000 over 2 years will enable the School to maintain the quality of its program and fully assume its role as a leader in the professional training of contemporary dance performers in Canada.” – Yves Rocray, Executive Director, École de danse contemporaine de Montréal
The funding is being made through the Canada Arts Training Fund.
