Élisa Martin

Originally from France, Elisa Martin is a dance artist based in Montreal. After completing a bachelor’s degree in dance at the University of Strasbourg (France) and the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM, 2022), she completed her training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM) with the class of 2026.
Enriched by all the encounters she has made along the way, she has developed a taste for visceral work, where physical engagement meets the poetry of movement. She is interested in the aesthetics of contrasts and the notion of symbolism in movement.
During her time at the EDCM, she was introduced to choreography, notably with Parades, a piece created in collaboration with Laurianne Bergeron-Routhier (2025).
Writing is an integral part of her life, and she aspires to bring bodies and words to life on stage through her creative work.
