Margaux Pommier

Originally from Ain (France), Margaux Pommier began dancing with ballet. Driven by a desire to move, she undertook a technical baccalaureate in classical dance in Lyon, where she was confronted with a highly codified language. Instinctively, she felt that finding her own unique path was essential to exploring this aesthetic. She then discovered contemporary dance and obtained her Diploma in Choreographic Studies in Lyon. She continued her training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, where she enjoyed losing herself in her imagination, lived experiences, and physical sensations in order to achieve greater proprioceptive accuracy. In recent years, her love of the studio has continued to grow. For her, the creative process is at the heart of any work. She loves to see performers draw on their knowledge and sensitivity to serve a deeply human vision. Fascinated by each person’s individuality, she seeks to highlight it, both in her performances and in her own creations.
